Simplify your waterfront search

If the approach of summer has you yearning for a piece of waterfront property, there's a Web site that can help you in your search.

Lakeplace.com lists waterfront property for sale and rent, including homes, resorts and cabins. A variety of search options, including price and location, help you find what you need, and there's even a Google earth feature that offers a satellite view.

The site was founded by a group from Richfield, Minn., who were frustrated by the fragmented waterfront property information they found. Dane Charles of Neenah is a part-owner in the venture and does public relations for the site.

"We work with affiliate brokers in each area, so a customer can get some good one-on-one help in addition to the initial searching," Charles said. "It's just really streamlining the whole process."
