CabinFinders was created in 2000 by Robin McCormick as a vacation rental service for the Brainerd lakes region of Minnesota. The idea for CabinFinders grew out of Robin’s love of lakeshore living and her desire to help others experience the same pleasure.

In the beginning, CabinFinders focused exclusively on vacation rentals. However, over time, more and more homeowners and renters who had developed long-term relationships with CabinFinders, and trusted Robin’s honesty and integrity in dealing with them, asked for help buying or selling properties and, ultimately, sales became an important part of the picture. CabinFinders’ unique and personalized team approach to lakehome sales is a result of its origin in vacation rentals. In its vacation rental business, CabinFinders builds a personal relationship with clients, both renters and homeowners, in order to fully understand their unique needs and desires, then we match renters with the lake home that best suits their interests, lifestyle and budget. But the deal is not finished when the papers are signed – CabinFinders prides itself on following through after the initial transaction to make sure our clients are satisfied and we will respond quickly if there are questions or problems. We want return customers. The core values for our sales activities are the same: CabinFinders’ mission is to help others experience the joys of lakeshore living in Minnesota by building relationships, understanding clients’ needs and preferences, finding the best possible match of buyer and seller, and following through to make sure our customers are satisfied.

CabinFinders believes working as a team increases our effectiveness in property searches, arranging showings and providing a quick response...and it is a lot more fun working this way! Robin McCormick, CabinFinders’ founder, owner and broker, leads the sales and rental team. Judy Thompson has been part of the CabinFinders team since the beginning. At first she was primarily our computer whiz and web maestro, but in 2002 Judy became a licensed real estate agent and now assists with rentals and sales. In the summer of 2007, Jodie Schrupp, a licensed real estate agent, joined the CabinFinders Team to help with sales and rentals. She is the newest member of our team. Her lifelong connections and relationships in the Brainerd lakes area and her passion and dedication are strong assets to the Team.
