I am a full-time agent with over 34 years of marketing experience, knowledge of the local lakes and communities. With 13 years experience in the Alexandria area and 21 year in the Walker, Cass, Hubbard, Crow Wing and Beltrami counties. I can assist you just about anywhere! I especially enjoy building life time relationships with my clients. I listen to them and work enthusiastically to ensure their wants and needs are met.
As a child I lived in the Princeton, MN area and moved with my parents to a farm west of Pine River, MN. I graduated from Pine River High School in 1950 as Salutatorian. I then started my career as a stenographer working in the Court House as well as Social Services in Walker. I also worked for Marsh & McLennan Insurance when I moved to Minneapolis.
This was a good move as I met my first husband Harold Mankenberg and I moved to Rapid City, SD. There I worked in SD Selective Service and married Harold who was in the US Air Force. I was able to see the world as he was transferred to Maine, Illinois, Texas, California, North Dakota and was in Libya, North Africa for 2.5 years. After serving in the Air Force my husband retired with 21 years of service. We retired to Walker and for 3 years and I worked for Cass County as Zoning Administrator and Civil Defense Director.
It was in Alexandria I started in the Real Estate business. We lived there for 17 years. On Oct 1, 1978 my husband and I were on a hayride when a drunk driver hit the hayride killing my husband. I was severely injured and not expected to live. On December 23, 1978 I was able to remove my body cast and neck brace and resumed my real estate career.
I married, August Fraisl four years later and we moved to Walker, MN when our log home was completed in May of 1990. August passed away in 2009 and I decided to stay put. I love it here in the Walker/Leech Lake area!
