Privately owned 2.5 acre island cabin on Little Jay Gould Lake with a single dwelling, surrounded by boating, fishing, and recreational opportunities. There is water access to Lake Pokegama, the major area lake which is 19 miles long; Big Jay Gould Lake; and miles of the Mississippi River. You can travel to an 18 hole golf course and 3 dining establishments by water, as well as popular swimming beach areas and public islands on Pokegama Lake.

The island is in a picturesque setting minutes by boat from the mainland, and just 2 miles from Grand Rapids. But with only the single dwelling, it offers a unique sense of privacy.

On the mainland access, there is a gated private parking area. For transportation (yes, the only way you can get there is by water!) we have a pontoon for you to ferry to and from the island at no charge. It's also available to rent for recreational purposes.

The cabin is quaint and Northern Minnesota cozy. It was creatively done with a lofted two bedroom area, skylight, stained glass work, and a split rock fireplace. There are all the comforts of a modern home as well, with electricity and indoor plumbing.

Although the cabin has two bedrooms, each with a double bed, there is room for additional occupants. We have also added a pop-up camper that will comfortably sleep six for large groups with the camping spirit. The treehouse will sleep two or three, and we are open to guests bringing tents. We have had groups of ten or more in the past.

Outside, there's a very large deck, sauna, campfire ring, and enclosed treehouse (with access to electricity). Lakeside there is a fishing boat, a canoe, a paddle boat, and a 14'x20' floating dock that is wonderful for enjoying being on the lake; to sun, to sip your early morning cup of coffee, or to watch the kids catching sunnies! And you'll have the whole beach to yourself!

1-2 People: $699 per week 1-4 People: $799 per week

Over 4 people: each additional person (age 13 and up): $95 per week
each additional person (ages 4-12): $85 per week
(ages 3 and under are free)

Dogs allowed for an additional $90 per week. No cats.

The last day of your stay (the departure day) can fall on a day that is marked available or the first day of a period that is already marked unavailable.
