This is a unique opportunity to experience living on a pristine northern Wisconsin lake in a fully furnished four season home with all the amenities, but none of the property taxes, insurance and other expenses.

Welcome to SHELL LAKE, Wisconsin. Only 100 miles from Mpls, 250 miles from Madison, and 70 miles from Eau Claire.

We are located on the north side of Shell Lake, a 2500 acre spring-fed lake. It is known for its excellent swimming and fishing, especially walleye, smallmouth and largemouth bass, panfish, northern, and muskie. It is also one of Wisconsin's favorite lakes for sailboating and pontooning.

Your accommodations will include a fully furnished cottage with 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, bedroom windows airconditioning, laundry, and deck. We also provide cable TV with DVD player. All of this is on a large lot with shade trees. We are located on a blacktop deadend road, so there will be very little traffic. You will have a beautiful view of the lake from both the dining area and living room.

Within a few minutes drive, you will find a modern public library offering WiFi, 24-7, for your internet needs, several golf courses, tennis courts, six churches, free movies and music at the park, a life-guarded beach, concrete ramped boat launch, airport, snowmobile trails, cross-country skiing, hunting, museums…you name it. Your outdoor enjoyment can include yard games, lakeside bonfires, swimming and much more. We provide a charcoal grill and picnic table for your outdoor dining. At the shore you will find excellent swimming with a gradually sloping lake bottom, safe for all ages. There is a roll-out dock for sunning, fishing and swimming. Where the yard meets the lake you'll find a sandy play area and bonfire pit. We provide a 14 ft. aluminum boat (motor not included, but we have a small 4-stroke Honda motor for rent at daily or weekly rates), and a light weight boat lift. In the evenings enjoy a drink and smores at the bonfire and listen to the loons. It's all this, and more.

We provide linens and kitchen towels. You will need to bring your beach and personal towels, life vests, and fishing equipment. We do not allow pets. Smoking indoors is also prohibited.

Your reservation is confirmed upon receipt of the non-refundable deposit which is half the rent. The balance is due one week before your arrival date.

The last day of your stay (the departure day) can fall on a day that is marked available or the first day of a period that is already marked unavailable.
