This family cottage, built in the 1940s, sits nestled in a grove of white pines, set back 50 ft from the beautiful St. Croix River. Although secluded, the house is 1 mile from a state park with hiking trails, minutes from historic towns with restaurants, antique shops, sight-seeing, rock-climbing.

This portion of the river was designated a wild and scenic river by the federal government in the '70s, which halted development on the water. The view of the opposite (Wisconsin) side of the river is of undeveloped forest, river flats laced with sloughs, where eagles, herons, beaver and other wildlife can be sighted.

The front screened porch, back sleeping porch, and two bedrooms all offer a view of the river.

Antique wood stove, spacious kitchen, washing machine, gas heater. Boat landing with dock, shady tennis court, canoe. The river is great for swimming, fishing, canoeing, hanging out on sandbars.

Well behaved dogs welcome. no cats please.
