Nestled in the pines North of Park Rapids, you will find your own private family retreat on a quiet, private lake. This is not a resort. This two story, 3 season lakehome has a walkout basement and a covered, wrap-around deck towards the lake. With 2 bedrooms, a sleeper sofa, and an open area with bunk beds, the cabin sleeps 10.

Prices based on 6 or less.

The cabin is 1,300 square feet, with a bathroom and shower on each level with soft water. The cabin is fully equipped with everything you will need, plates, utensils, cookware, coffee maker, stove, refrigerator/freezer. Both a charcoal and a gas grill are available for grilling outside. Sheets and blankets included, but please bring your own towels. There is also a washing machine and dryer and A/C unit available for your use. You will also find a TV, CD player, VCR, DVD, movies, and various games.

Outside the cabin, you will find a firepit and firewood, basketball hoop and small court, and a large kennel for your pets. A separate building on the property is set up as the "game room" where the ping pong table and foosball table await worthy opponents.

Pets are welcome, but must not be left alone inside the cabin or allowed on furniture, beds or carpeted areas.

We also provide coffee, coffee filters, sugar, flour, dish soap, paper towels, and bathroom tissue.

Itasca State Park is only a short jaunt away, about 4 miles to the East entrance of the park, making the cabin a great jumping off point for park exploration, excursions and day trips, while still able to retreat to the privacy of your own lakehome when you are ready for a more secluded setting. The park has a wonderful sand swimming beach, with lifeguards, and is usually frequented by happy campers.

Lake Alice itself is private, peaceful, and has no public access, but you will be able to launch your own boat at our private access, or make use of the 14' aluminum boat and 6 hp outboard, and boat lift, included in the rent. Included also is a kayak available for a quiet tour of the lake, and a 8x8 swim raft located just out from the 80' dock, and a paddle-boat for the kids. The lakeshore is mostly soft on the west side of the lake, we have a good firm gravel/sand area for launching the boat and wading out, but it is not a great swimming beach, the bottom becomes soft once you reach 3 feet deep or so.

Lake Alice has excellent fishing for sunfish, crappies, northerns and bass, and has been stocked with walleyes. Once you have enjoyed the peace and quiet available at Lake Alice, you will have a hard time leaving, and an easy decision to return next year.

Rates are $145/night with a two night minimum, or $750/week, with 1/2 down at the time of booking, and balance required two weeks prior to arrival. Rates are adjusted up for groups larger than 6, typically $160/night or $850/week.
